Oral Fluids testing has higher positivity rates for marijuana detection, according to Quest Diagnostics Drug Testing Index.
Positivity rates are up 26% overall, and oral fluids test results reflect a 70% higher positivity rate than that of urine.
Oral Fluids devices, Oral Eze Collection Systems, are not instant tests. They come with a adequacy indicator that lets the donor and collector know there has been enough specimen provided to adequately test. In addition, the devices are shipped to the lab in a preservative solution so the specimen may be accurately tested.
Because oral fluid tests are collected under direct observation, they are more difficult to "cheat." Typical donor evasion tactics, like adulterants and substitutions of specimens, cannot be acted out.All these factors build a compelling case for jump in positivity rates.
